ABLES reporting ABLES assessments produce four reports: Learning readiness report: summarises the skills and abilities the student is currently developing and those the student might learn next. This is linked to the Victorian curriculum and related teaching strategies.

It supports early childhood educators to provide a more individualised learning experience for children aged two to five years with disabilities and/or developmental delay. The Early ABLES suite has been expanded to include three new assessments for use from 2021, which will support educators to:

The ABLES professional learning helps school staff understand how to use ABLES to assess students, create reports and track progress. There are five modules, each focusing on a specific element of the ABLES suite of resources and each requiring approximately one hour of online participation per module.

This research informed the development of the ABLES resources which target and support the development of individual learning plans by providing knowledge about students’ readiness to learn in the three learning areas.
